MSUM Homecoming officials hoping for a Taylor Swift appearance
Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV)-MSUM Homecoming staff are hoping for a very special guest on Monday.
They’ve started a social media campaign to bring Taylor Swift to their Block Party and/or their French Toast Feed.
A Facebook post, and then a tweet with the hashtag #WeAreSWIFTDragons were sent out Tuesday, both have already gained a lot of traction, including a re-tweet from university President Anne Blackhurst.
Homecoming coordinators say bringing the singer here wouldn’t just be fun for students, it would bring attention to the school.
Sarah Knight/MSUM Homecoming Coordinator: “For a small school, kind of usually the underdog, compared to NDSU, so if Taylor Swift came here it would be a small school with, you know, like the big dream, we’re all backing each other up with our retweets and social media.”
The block party starts on campus Monday at 5 p.m.
The concert will be in the Fargodome at 8 p.m.
