Dr. Jim Swenson and Ben Clapp have had their article “Darwin Meets the Entrepreneur” accepted for publication in the Business Journal for Entrepreneurs. The article talks about how innovation is the process of finding a new and better way of doing things. Entrepreneurship and innovation are companion terms. They involve the discovery, development and delivery of a new idea into the market place. In nature evolution is synonymous with evolution. The article applies the concepts of Darwinian Evolution to entrepreneurship and innovation and show how entrepreneurs can use the concepts of design and analogy. The authors show that the concept of Designed Innovation can be adapted to the evolution of business models.
