Candlelight Prayer Vigil open to Moorhead Community Oct. 11

In response to the recent mass shooting on an Oregon campus, many have felt a desire to express their grief, faith and hope.  Violence takes many forms in our communities, like; gun violence, bullying, sexual assault & abuse.  Jesus said, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God” (Matthew 5:9).  Shine a light in the darkness of violence.  Share in prayer, rallying speakers, and receive options for future action.

When it comes to hunger, we know giving a can to the food bank helps.  When it comes to violence, it can be harder to know even one way we can help.  Please come, make a positive difference, and show your support for decreasing violence in our nation and community.

Early committed partners in this event include:  First Presbyterian Church of Moorhead, Good Shepherd Lutheran, Bethesda Lutheran & First Presbyterian Church of Fargo.  Event address:  2900 5th St. S., Moorhead  218-443-2227
