Alemadi named Coordinator for Community Outreach
Shireen Alemadi has been named Minnesota State University Moorhead’s new Coordinator for Community Outreach. She will continue her extensive work with College for Kids & Teens as well as lead outreach activities in a variety of academic and non-academic settings in the Fargo-Moorhead area.
Alemadi has been teaching at MSUM since 2007 in both the Biosciences Department and the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department, as well as helping increase student involvement in K-12 outreach.
As coordinator of College for Kids & Teens, she has expanded course offerings and increased enrollment, from 160 registrations in 2011 to 1,184 registrations last summer.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from MSUM in biology with an emphasis in ecology and field biology and a master’s degree in biology from the University of Central Florida.
