Faculty, Staff and Students: Are you doing a research project or study? The Institutional Review Board (IRB) is a university committee designated by Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) to protect the welfare of human subjects recruited to participate in research. All research activities in connection with MSUM that involve human subjects, whether by faculty, staff, or students (on campus or not) must have prior IRB approval. Prospective investigators should become familiar with the policies and procedures of the IRB before proceeding with submission of any application.
