Emergency evacuation drills on Sept. 10

MSUM will be conducting emergency evacuation drills in all campus buildings, except residence halls, on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Please take this opportunity to review the emergency plans posted throughout all buildings.

Some things to remember when you hear the building evacuation alarm:
• Do not use elevators. Those with mobility impairments should wait in the building’s designated safe area of rescue until the alarm stops and occupants are given the all clear to enter.
• If practical, take your jacket, purse, and keys with you.
• Close doors and windows when you exit.
• Stop, look and listen. Evacuation alarms are used to notify building occupants during other kinds of emergencies besides fires.
• Remember to use alternative evacuation routes besides main entrances. This will relieve congestion in stairwells and hallways.
