MSUM President Anne Blackhurst has named Joseph D. Bessie to be Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs. Bessie is currently a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin–Stout, where he also served as Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs.
Semifinalists for Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs Named Minnesota State Colleges and Universities has named two semifinalists who are under consideration to be vice chancellor for academic and student affairs. The candidates are Ron Anderson and Julie Furst-Bowe.

Last week, alumni, who are also employees of MSUM, gathered for a photo. Out of MSUM’s 774 employees, 234 of them are also MSUM graduates. These photos will be included in the fall issue of the Moorhead Magazine. Thank you to everyone who braved the rain, wore their Dragon gear and showed up for the picture!
It is with great excitement the Philosophy Department would like to congratulate Dylan O’Brien on his acceptance into Louisiana State University’s Master of Arts program in Philosophy for Fall 2015. Dylan double majored in Philosophy and Psychology and graduated Magna Cum Laude from MSUM in Spring 2013.
