Criminal Justice, Gerontology, and Sociology Students Inducted into National Honor Societies on May 7
On Thursday, May 7, the faculty in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice inducted 25 students into one of three national honor societies, and 3 students were each inducted into two national honor societies. The faculty also announced the winners of the department’s annual awards. Criminal Justice Majors inducted into the Mu Omega chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma include: Nicole Askew, Jenna Borseth, Shawn Carlson, Alexander Ellis, Jordan Friedrichs, Cassandra Gabel, Daniela Guerrero Kossowski, Leane Guerrero, Eileen Huggins, Kaitlyn Johnson, Michael Knoll, Lauren Massie, Brianna McCorquodale, Cameron Monson, Kelly Mulvaney, Garrett Oates, Joseph Solberg, and Steven Tucker. Gerontology majors inducted into the Gamma Eta Rho Omega chapter of Sigma Phi Omega include: Mercedes Eke, Lyndsey Hively, Dejlana Hodzic, Katherine Johanson, and Cassandra Smith. Sociology majors inducted into Alpha Kappa Delta include: Angela Bernstrom, Hannah Hilfer, Kaitlyn Johnson, Michael Knoll, and Lauren Massie. The C. Wright Mills Sociological Imagination Award was presented to Hannah Hilfer, Daniel Larson, and Dylan Schafer. The Swaran Sandhu Outstanding Criminal Justice Major Award was presented to Shawn Carlson. The Outstanding Paper Award was presented to Leane Guerrero.
