MSUM honors Charles Magel
A man who has left a lasting impact on Minnesota State University Moorhead was honored on Thursday.
The university unveiled a plaque in honor of Charles Magel. He founded the school’s philosophy department in 1963.
Magel is also credited with playing a major role in building the library on campus and improving the library system throughout the state college and university system.
Magel died last year and left the school with $800,000 for scholarships.
