Students and faculty attended presentation by animator and director, Tim Rauch

On March 4, students and faculty from the Schools of Media Arts and Design, Visual Arts, and Performing Arts attended a presentation by Animator and Director, Tim Rauch. Rauch presented on his experiences in the field of animation, and the creative process of bringing the recorded stories of StoryCorps to life.

On Thursday, three StoryCorps shorts were featured in the evening session of the Fargo Film Festival, and Rauch participated in an Animation lunch panel with other animation creatives and producers.

Rauch is one half of the Rauch Brothers Animation duo, formed with his brother Mike in 2007. Their Peabody Award winning StoryCorps animated shorts were called “Must-see, can’t-miss, your-life-depends-on-it-TV” by Richard Corliss of Time.com, and still air regularly on PBS affiliates nationwide. They have produced work for clients including Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Sesame Workshop, Warner Brothers and Amplify Education. StoryCorps shorts can be viewed at http://rauchbrothers.com/video/
