Finalists for the Director of Public Safety to lead open forum today
Finalists for Public Safety Director will be lead open forums this week. All forums will be held at 12:00 in CMU 205.
Today, December 16:
Christopher Nelson has been Fire Captain and Safety Officer with Metropolitan Airport in Bloomington, Minnesota since 2001. He teaches Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support at Fairview Hospital. He has certification in hazardous materials management from Anoka-Hennepin Technical College. He has worked for Benson Engineering as a safety and OSHA requirements supervisor, and holds a B.S. in Engineering and Industrial Safety from Bemidji State University.
Wednesday, December 17:
Catherine Foley is currently Emergency Management Consultant with the North East Metro School District, White Bear Lake. From 2008 to 2011 she was School Resource Officer Supervisor with the Minneapolis Public School District, where she was also Incident Commander and led the District Emergency Response Team. She has anti-terrorism preparedness training through the National Institute of Homeland Security. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Bemidji State University.
Friday, December 19:
Paul Dunkel is currently State Patrol Trooper with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety in Mendota Heights. He has also worked with the Courtland Fire Department, as well as for the Mapleton, Amboy, and Lake Crystal Police Departments. He served as Chair of the Judiciary Board at Minnesota State University, Mankato. In addition, he holds a M.S. in Corrections and Sociology and a B.A. in Law Enforcement, Psychology, and Sociology from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
