MSUM Psi Chi receives $1000 Undergraduate Research Conference grant from Psi Chi International

MSUM Psi Chi (the honor society for psychology) has received a $1000 Undergraduate Research Conference grant from Psi Chi International.

MSUM Psi Chi will use the funds to host the Red River Psychology Conference on campus April 23-24. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the MSUM Psi Chi chapter.  The key note speaker will be Dr. Susan Everson-Rose, an MSUM graduate and first-ever MSUM Psi Chi President. Dr. Everson-Rose is currently Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota. Her research investigates health disparities and psychosocial stressors that impact cardiovascular disease risk. Dr. Everson-Rose will give two talks during the conference.  In addition, undergraduate students from around the region will present their psychological research via poster and paper sessions.  Workshops regarding careers in psychology will also be added to this year’s conference.

More information regarding the conference and speaker will be coming in the new year.  If you have any questions, please contact one of the conference organizers below.
