F-M one of two finalists for 2018 National Special Olympic Games

A site selection committee for the 2018 USA National Special Olympic Games will visit Fargo-Moorhead on Monday and Tuesday, according to a press release.The metro area is one of two finalists to host the games; the other is Seattle, Wash. 

The six-member selection committee will be greeted by Kathy Meagher, CEO of Special Olympics North Dakota, and a local bid planning committee that includes Lt. Gov. Drew Wrigley, local entrepreneur Doug Burgum, and representatives from North Dakota State University, the city of Fargo, the Fargo-Moorhead Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, and other local groups.
