Sue Severson and Ximena Suarez-Sousa attended Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) Annual Conference in Washington, DC

Sue Severson and Ximena Suarez-Sousa, from the School of Teaching and Learning, attended the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) Annual Conference in Washington, DC. This conference provided a series of sessions to support accreditation representatives of institutions of higher education to transition from NCATE national accreditation standards to the new CAEP standards. These new standards have a clear focus on rigor, enhanced evidence, and program impact on P-12 students. The Teacher Education Program will begin transitioning into the new CAEP standards in 2015, after the March on-site accreditation visit by NCATE examiners
