Steve Hoffbeck delivers program on WWII experiences

Steve Hoffbeck, History Department, delivered a public program on “The Home Front In Minnesota During World War II” at the Fergus Falls Public Library September 30th. Professor Hoffbeck examined Minnesota’s experiences in W.W. II, including the Norwegian Battalion and combat; making ammunition at Twin Cities ordnance plants; rationing gasoline, silk, and sugar; of blackouts; and the pathos of war, featuring the personal stories of Minnesotans. An audience of 78 people came to enjoy the program, with questions and answers at its conclusion.
