Focus on Faculty: Updating Your Career Plan
Our goal is to offer sessions that will serve faculty at various stages in their careers. These three sessions provide an opportunity for faculty have their career transition questions answered by folks from the Career Development Center. Each session is located in the Faculty Development Center.
I. Resumes and the Electronic Job Search
Learn how to craft an effective, targeted resume, find position postings, and navigate electronic “applicant management” systems.

II. Interviewing Outside of Higher Education
Learn how to sell yourself in an interview process that does not include a job talk or teaching demonstration.
Friday, October 24th from 2:00-3:00 pm
III. Networking and Social Media
Learn how to create a LinkedIn profile, as well as using social media to network and tap the hidden job market.
Friday, October 31st from 2:00-3:00 pm
