Career Connections newsletter

The Career Connections Newsletter is a great resource for upcoming Career Development Center events. For a full list of programming, please check out the newsletter attached to this article. We are also spotlighting one program each month. This month’s Career Development spotlight program is CareerX.

CareerX is a mini-conference to help students move through career exploration and preparation, with topics such as resumes, interviewing, networking, professional dress, and social media. We are involving community professionals for workshop sessions to provide students with employer perspectives. It is a Tri-College effort by the three career centers (NDSU, MSUM, and Concordia), and this year will be hosted at the MSUM Comstock Memorial Union. The date is Thursday, October 30 from 4 to 7:30 p.m. It will consist of a keynote and 3 breakout sessions, followed by a dining etiquette dinner. Each breakout session will have 3 presentations. To register, go to DragonJobs and follow the link to the registration page. Space is limited so sign up soon.

FACT: One of last year’s CareerX presenters hired 1 full-time employee and 2 interns that he met at the event.
