Run a Lap with President Blackhurst to help raise over $1 million for MSUM students
In an effort to raise money for student scholarships and other student centered priorities, President Anne Blackhurst will be running 50 laps around the Ron Masanz Track at Nemzek Field on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 5:30 p.m. for the “Laps for the Long Run” event.
President Blackhurst invites MSUM supporters including sponsors, faculty, staff, and students to demonstrate their Dragon Pride by pledging and joining her for a lap. Options include running the lap at President Blackhurst’s pace, creating a four-person relay team, or running a lap at your own pace. There is also the opportunity for area businesses to sponsor a lap. For more information on sponsorship opportunities, contact Doug Peters via email at petersd@mnstate.edu.
Participants that register by September 9 will be guaranteed to receive an “I ran with Anne” commemorative t-shirt. Register at www.mnstate.edu/laps.
