Wednesday, Sept. 3, representatives of the MSUM Marketing & Communications Department attended and presented at the first FargoConnect conference, which focused on best practices for marketing with social media.
David Wahlberg, the executive director of marketing & communications, was invited to speak on the success MSUM (@MSUMoorhead) experienced during last spring’s two commencement ceremonies.
“The presentation I gave represented the work of a lot of people and the participation of hundreds of commencement tweeters,” Wahlberg said. “We were asked to share our experience by conference organizers because they saw MSUM in a social media leadership role and that others would appreciate learning from our experience. Judging from the feedback, the audience appreciated hearing our story.”
Digital marketing specialist Meghan Feir and marketing intern Danielle Rebel also attended the social media conference, along with various MSUM students and other faculty and staff members across campus.
