Student Organization Officers, take note of these important dates
Attention Student Organization Officers! As the academic year approaches, here are some important dates to mark in your calendars!
1. Sidewalk Café – Saturday, August 23, 2014, from 11am-2pm, sponsored by First Year Programs Office. This event is a great opportunity for your organization to table and promote your organization to our new students. To sign-up, complete this online form and check the Sidewalk Café box.
2. DragonFest 2014 – Wednesday, Sept. 10th! Join the annual celebration of Dragon Pride and promote your student organization to the campus body. Fest takes place in the campus mall from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year’s event brings caricatures, inflatable games, music and more. Register today at www.mnstate.edu/dragonfest
3. Annual Student Organization Registration – Our office is currently putting the final touches on this year’s annual student organization registration process. More information will be sent out later this week. This year’s deadline to complete the registration is Friday, September 19.
4. Student Organization Officer Fall Summits – Each student organization needs to send at least one student officer to either 7-8pm on Wednesday, September 17 or 4:30-5:30pm Thursday, September 18. Important updates impacting student organizations and resources that our office can provide will be shared. At least one student officer needs to attend, but don’t let that stop your organization from sending more!
5. Treasurer Meetings – Student Organization Treasurers need to attend a session on either September 30 from 8-9pm or October 1 from 5-6pm to hear some important information related to spending money!
