Sociology Graduates Publish Second Article with Dr. Vigilant
Dr. Lee Garth Vigilant (SOC/CJ), Tyler C. Anderson, and Lauren Wold Trefethren have published the second article in their research on homeschooling families in Sociological Spectrum, Vol. 34, No. 4: 293-313, the official peer-reviewed journal of the Mid-South Sociological Association. The article, “I’m Sorry You Had a Bad Day, But Tomorrow Will Be Better:” Stratagems of Interpersonal Emotion-Management in Narratives of Fathers in Christian Homeschooling Households,” expounds on the interpersonal emotion-management strategies that fathers employ to mitigate the role strains and role conflicts mother-teachers encounter in homeschooling. Lauren is an MA candidate in counseling education at NDSU, and Tyler is a second year Ph.D. student in sociology at Purdue University. Read the abstract here.
