Geology students present paper at regional conference

Geology students Nicholas Anderson, Christopher Benjamin, Donavan Donarski, and their Geoscience advisor Karl Leonard, presented the paper “Sequence Stratigraphic Framework of the Tyler Formation (Lower Pennsylvanian/Morrowan) in the Williston Basin, North Dakota” at the annual meeting of the North-Central section of the Geological Society of America meeting in Lincoln, NE on April 24, 2014.  They also attended the post-meeting field trip to Ashfall State Park that examined the aftermath of an eruption of the Yellowstone Caldera that took place 13 million years ago.
