Elizabeth Nawrot’s paper accepted for publication in the journal Teaching of Psychology

Elizabeth Nawrot (Psychology) had a paper accepted for publication in the journal Teaching of Psychology. “Victor the Wild Boy as a Teaching Tool for the History of Psychology” describes an innovative method that Nawrot used recently in a History of Psychology seminar. The story of the discovery and rehabilitation of the famous Wild Boy of Averyron more than 200 years ago is used as a historical backdrop for exploring the development of Psychology as a science. Data analysis from classroom assessments and student evaluations demonstrated the effectiveness of the materials. Nawrot first got the idea to use the Victor story from a visit to the French village where the Wild Boy was originally discovered.
