Campus community invited to open forums for Director of Admissions candidates

We would like to invite the campus community to attend the open forums for three candidates interviewing for the Director of Admissions. The candidates have been requested to discuss the following topic: “Effective short and long term strategies for building a robust recruitment and admissions funnel to achieve institutional enrollment goals.” Candidates will be on campus on the following days:Monday, May 19th 2:15-3:15 pm in CMU 205: Ashley Weatherspoon
Ashley Weatherspoon is currently the Director of Enrollment Services at Anoka-Ramsey Community College, a position that she has held since January 2011. In this leadership role she has developed new recruitment strategies and implemented the Hobsons Connect CRM program at Anoka-Ramsey. She has increased prospective student inquiries by 25% and applications by 10% and has led the effort to restructure the Orientation and Registration process at Anoka-Ramsey. Prior to this role, Ashley served as an Admissions Advisor at Anoka-Ramsey Community College and at the University of Phoenix. Ashley earned her Master of Science in Education Leadership from Minnesota State University, Mankato and Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication/Public Relations from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Thursday, May 22, 2:15-3:15 pm in CMU 205: Merideth Sherlin
Merideth Sherlin is currently the Associate Director of Admission at North Dakota State University, a position she has held since February 2002. In this leadership role she oversees the prospective student application process and manages the communication plan. She works closely with the Publications department to develop recruitment publications and website information for the department. Merideth led Admissions staff in the implementation of a document imaging system, conversion of the communication processes and data tracking. Prior to this role she served as the Assistant Director, Coordinator of Outreach Activities and Information Specialist at North Dakota State University. Merideth earned both her Masters and Bachelor’s degrees in Mass Communication from North Dakota State University.

Wednesday, May 28, 2:15-3:15 pm in CMU 205: Matthew Suby
Matthew Suby is currently the Assistant Director of Admission at Southwest Minnesota State University, a position he has held since March 2010. In this leadership role he manages the Hobson’s Connect CRM, coordinates new student orientation, registration and campus visit programs, oversees the scholarship awarding process, and led social media initiatives. Prior to this role he served as the Admissions Counselor at Southwest Minnesota State. Matthew earned his Master of Science degree in Education from Southwest Minnesota State University and Bachelor’s degree from Augustana College.
