MSUM students attend Arrowhead Model United Nations Conference

On April 3-6, a delegation of 18 students participated in the annual Arrowhead Model United Nations Conference, held this year at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. Representing Nigeria, Kenya, Greece, and the Philippines, MSUM students excelled in committee discussions on a wide array of topics ranging from the crises in Ukraine and Syria, to economic and humanitarian aid, to environmental issues such as drought and desertification. With our very own Dr. Andrew Conteh serving as General Assembly President, MSUM students passed resolutions on many such issues, educated themselves on the dilemmas of countries across the globe, and became familiar with the world of international politics. Last but not least, congratulations to MSUM junior Richa Neupane who was nominated as Best Delegate from the Political & Security Committee! If you’re interested in participating next year, don’t hesitate to contact Model United Nations President Sam Downs (downssam@mnstate.edu), or our advisor Dr. Andrew Conteh. Students of all majors/interests welcome.
