Your Dragons advance to NSIC Tourney Semifinals today at 2:30 p.m.

The Minnesota State University Moorhead men’s basketball team will face Winona State in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference/Sanford Tournament semifinals at 2:30 p.m. on Monday at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Dragon fans who can’t attend Monday’s game can follow the action via several different avenues. Midcontinent Communications will telecast the game live on Midco Sports Network; Midcontinent customers can check channel listings for coverage in their area. MSUM (21-7) is the top seed from the NSIC’s North Division and won the division title, its first conference crown in 32 years. The Dragons are 7-12 all-time in the tournament but a solid 5-3 under Head Coach Chad Walthall.

The Dragons will face Winona State for a 153rd time with the Warriors leading the series, 80-72. MSUM won the meeting between the two teams earlier this season, 82-80 with freshman Aaron Lien hitting the winning shot in the final seconds.

The winner of the game on Monday will play in the NSIC/Sanford Tournament Championship game on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Sanford Pentagon.
