MSUM faculty and students participate in Music Theatre Fargo-Moorhead’s upcoming shows

Music Theatre Fargo-Moorhead announces its second weekend of their winter production, “Forbidden Broadway’s Greatest Hits,” performing at The Stage at Island Park Feb. 27-March 2. “Forbidden Broadway” is a satirical, cabaret-style revue that began in the early 1980s, in New York City. Constantly evolving, the show coursed over two decades parodying Broadway musicals, actors, directors, composers and choreographers. No Broadway show or star is safe from this satirical mock-fest that pokes good-natured fun at those hit musicals from the Great White Way, and the legendary performers who starred in them, from such shows as Les Miserables, Chicago, Wicked, Mamma Mia, Rent, Spamalot, Annie and so much more. Created and written by Gerard Alessandrini, Forbidden Broadway is a guaranteed night of side-splitting laughs and a sure bet to sell out fast.

Directed and choreographed by Dawn Gunderson and vocal directed by Jo Marie Fike, the cast includes MSUM’s Craig Ellingson, Jamaica Meyer and Nikko Raymo, along with some old and new faces to balance out this talented ensemble.
