Acro Teams Perform at the Go Pink with the Dragons’ Basketball Games on Friday, Feb. 13 at Nemzek
Join us on Friday, Feb. 13 when the Dragon basketball teams will host U of MN Duluth at Alex Nemzek Hall. The Acro Lites and Acro II teams will perform at halftimes of the games. In appreciation of Sanford Health, employees show their badge for free admission to the games. As part of the night’s activities, the first 500 people at the basketball games will receive a pink or purple mustache courtesy of the MSUM Wellness Educators.
Other highlights are: The Dragon Frost Royalty Coronation will be held, along with the Go Pink Silent Auction. Games Galore Inflatables will be available during the games. The basketball games will also be televised live on WDAY 6.3 and Midcontinent Channel 596.
The Dragon’s Women’s Basketball team, led by Head Coach Karla Nelson, sponsors Go Pink with the Dragons as a community service to educate and raise awareness about the importance of screening for breast cancer and other cancers. This event also raises funds for the MSUM Go Pink Scholarship and the Sanford Health Roger Maris Cancer Center.
Go Pink T-shirts and Dragon caps with a pink ribbon are on sale for $10 at the MSUM bookstore, athletic department and at the game on Friday. Proceeds from the T-shirt and cap sales and Go Pink Silent Auction will be evenly dispersed between the MSUM Go Pink Scholarship Fund and the Roger Maris Cancer Center in Fargo, N.D.
