Student Life Happens in the Student Union
Sure the holiday break was great–the student union was quiet and gave the staff time to catch up on budgets, paperwork and planning (all the stuff we really love). But can we just say how awesome it is to have students back on campus! Students are what give the student union a life of it’s own! When students are here, there’s an exciting, almost electric, pulse that you can feel when you’re here. So many events, so many ideas, so many communities, so many people making connections, so many conversations, so many students doing what they love to do!
We are so excited for what the spring semester holds–the cultural events, the speakers, the dances, the AfterDark events, the Dragon Atheltic games, the intramurals activities, the Dragon Entertainment Group Free Movies Series, the service events…and the list could go on practically forever! Not only have students been hard at work planning and preparing for events, but this spring also will be the pre-design process for the CMU renovation! It’s an exciting time to be looking at what students need and want in the student union. We are currently seeking students to become part of our pre-design committee, so if you want to have a voice in the future of your student union, stop by the Info Desk and ask for Annie or Layne! We’re exciting all that is to come and we hope you are too.
