Anna Arnar presents papers on Libricide

Anna Arnar, Department of Art & Design, presented a paper in early January at a conference sponsored by the College Book Arts Association in Salt Lake City, Utah. The paper titled “Obliterated, Looted, and Dispersed Print: Two Case Studies of Contemporary Bookworks from Documenta 13” represents research that she has done over the last two summers on the theme of Libricide.

She presented a different portion of this research in July at the Society for the History of Authorship, Reading and Publishing In Philadelphia last July.

Both papers stem from a new book project titled “Social Spaces of the Book: ‘Reading’ Books at Documenta and the Venice Biennale.”
