Positive Reactions is accepting new associates next semester

Open positions include:

Account Executive for the Red River Zoo
Description:
-You will over see 3-5 firm associates on your client committee
-You will coordinate committee communication and meetings as needed
-Together with your committee you will research, brainstorm ideas, create proposals and plan and execute tactics for your client
-You will be the voice of our firm to the client and of the client to our firm
-You will schedule monthly client meetings and communicate with your client weekly via email/phone
-Must be able to commit to 10-15 hours per week

Responsibilities:
-Track your time weekly
-Attend weekly firm meetings on Fridays at 10:00 a.m. in Flora Frick 254
-Lead your client committee
-Send all plans, proposals, tactics and finished work pieces to the firm director for approval
-Send firm approved plans, proposals, tactics and finished work pieces to the client for approval
-Schedule and coordinate client and committee meetings and communication

Your Qualities:
-You have passion for the communication industry and are eager to get agency experience
-You never miss a deadline and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
-You can work both independently and on a team
-You are a leader and very organized
-You are approachable and able to adapt quickly
-You are highly available for communication throughout the day

Firm Associates for all spring semester clients
Description:
-You will be assigned to one of our client committees along with 2-4 other firm associates
-Together with your committee you will research, brainstorm ideas, create proposals and plan and execute tactics for your client
-Must be able to commit to 5-10 hours per week

Responsibilities:
-Track your time weekly
-Attend weekly firm meetings on Fridays at 10:00 a.m. in Flora Frick 254
-Attend client committee meetings scheduled by your Account Executive
-Plan and execute services provided by Positive Reactions as needed for your client
-Send all of your work pieces to your Account Executive for approval

Your Qualities:
-You have passion for the communication industry and are eager to get agency experience
-You never miss a deadline and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
-You can work both independently and on a team

Positive Reactions
Positive Reactions is a student-run public relations firm that is associated with the MSUM PRSSA Chapter. Any member of our PRSSA Chapter can work for the firm (this is where you get the field experience). Now you can receive 1-3 course
credits for doing so by registering for MC290 or MC390. Positive Reactions works with real clients of the Fargo-Moorhead area and provides public relations services for them.

With all these services, we can also use majors from other fields like photography, film and journalism students. Working for this firm will fill your portfolio with an excellent variety of work samples necessary to get a GOOD job after graduation.

How to Join/Become a Firm Associate
To work for the firm, you must be a PRSSA member. Membership dues are $80/year. To join attend a Positive Reactions meeting, contact the firm director, Kelly Falk at falkke@mnstate.edu or register for 1-3 course credits through MC 290 or MC 390 – Special Topics: Practicum. Positive Reactions is a great way to learn about public relations research, planning and tactics, meet new people, build a portfolio and give back to the community.

Meetings
Every Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Flora Frick 254. At these meetings we discuss public relations tactics, new clients, campaign and event plans for current clients and other matters regarding Positive Reactions.
