Dr. Steven Bolduc to serve as Interim Director of Women’s and Gender Studies
Professor Steven Bolduc, Economics, has been appointed Interim Director of Women’s and Gender Studies, effective January 2014.
Steve studied at the University of Massachusetts Amherst (B.S., 1993) and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (Ph.D., 2001). He is trained as an institutional economist—a tradition rooted in the work of Thorstein Veblen, John Dewey, and John R. Commons—and has written on industrial policy, political economics, and ecological economics. Prior to joining the faculty at MSUM in 2000, he served as policy advisor to the former Governor of Nebraska. Steve has been on the WGS Programmatic Committee since 2011 and has taught WGS and related courses including WS100-Women Today: Contemporary Women’s Issues; Econ/WS 305-Poverty, Discrimination, and Inequality; and Econ 340-The Gendered Economy.
