Wallert invited to speak at RRV research symposium
Mark Wallert, Biosciences, was an invited speaker at the Sept. 12 Red River Valley Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) Research Symposium in Fargo. The ACRP Research Symposium is an annual event that provides continuing medical education credits for clinical research and pharmaceutical industry professional in our region. Dr. Wallert presented a talk entitled, “The Na+/H+ Exchanger Isoform 1 as a Regulator of Metastasis in Non-small Cell Lung Cancer,” as part of the symposium. The talk featured research done by MSUM undergraduates over the past five years and included a discussion of the Na+/H+ Exchanger Isoform 1 as a potential therapeutic target for cancer treatment.
