It’s Coming…Homecoming, That Is!
The best week of the year is almost here! Of course we’re talking about Dragon Homecoming. The Homecoming Co-coordinators Neo Thurston and Darla Hedstrom have been planning a full week of festivities for Dragons of all ages, along with the help of many other staff and students across campus, because as we all know, “Once a Dragon, Always a Dragon.”
There is additional excitement this year surrounding Homecoming–MSUM is celebrating its 125th Anniversary (technically, it’s called a quasquicentennial, for any vocabulary buffs out there!) and we have plans to make this year’s Homecoming celebration one for the books!
A full list of events can be found on the Dragon Homecoming website, and we’ve got a couple we’d like to highlight for you as “You Don’t Wanna Miss This” events.
Monday – 8pm – Nemzek – Don’t miss the Pep Rally and Casino Night. It’s going to be epic.
Tuesday – 7:30pm – Hansen Theater – Comedy Hypnotist Frederick Winters. You could be hypnotized!
Wednesday – 7:30pm – Hansen Theater – Coach Herman Boone. Yep, you heard it right–the coach from “Remember the Titans” is coming to MSUM!
Thursday – 8pm – CMU Ballroom – Johnny Holm Band. Come on out to rock out.
Friday – 9pm – Nemzek Field – Burning of the M. This is one of MSUM’s coolest (or hottest?) traditions!
Saturday -Everything! Color Me Rad at 9am, Parade at 11am, Soccer at 12pm and Football at 2pm.
