Dennis Jacobs to display his Electric Airplane at the Detroit Lakes Fly-In July 13

For the past year and a half, Dr. Dennis Jacobs, Physics/Astronomy/Sustainability, with the help of several students has been designing and building an electric aircraft (The Electric Dragon).  The aircraft, along with other regional home built and experimental aircraft, will be displayed at the Detroit Lakes Fly-In on July 13, 8 to 11:30 a.m. The Fly-In is at the Detroit Lakes airport on Highway 10 just west of Detroit Lakes. Jacobs is waiting delivery of the lithium ion batteries to complete the testing and begin flying his aircraft.
