Minnesota universities held 4th Annual Power in Diversity Conference

A consortium of universities in Minnesota held the 4th Annual Power in Diversity conference from Jan. 24-27. Keynote speaker was Tavis Smiley. Karim Ahmath, coordinator of multicultural affairs, led 22 students (and five staff members) in attendance at this event. All student participants will apply knowledge gained during presentation at the Student Academic Conference on April 16, or will mentor underrepresented students at Horizon Middle School, or helping to plan Diversity Week in March 2013.
