Concert features new work led by new faculty members

The University Orchestra and MSUM Choirs will perform the Minnesota premiere of Te Deum, a work by Steve Dobrogosz, an American-born jazz composer who lives and works in Stockholm, Sweden, at their Friday, Nov. 30, 7:30 p.m. performance in MSUM’s Hansen Theatre.

Dobrogosz’ jazz and jazz-influenced classical compositions are performed throughout Scandinavia and the rest of Europe. The concert will also feature Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia On Christmas Carols and other music of the season.

All the ensembles performing at the event are led by new faculty members in MSUM’s Music Department – Daniel Mahraun, Christina Yi-Ping Chen-Beyers and Kathy Rolsten.
