SAAC brings you first Dragon Madness Oct. 25 @ 8 p.m.
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Minnesota State University Moorhead is proud to announce the first ever Dragon Madness event on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 8:00 p.m. at Alex Nemzek Fieldouse as an introduction to the 2012-13 basketball season and a fundraiser for Special Olympics.
During the hour-long event, fans will get introduced to their 2012-13 Dragon men’s and women’s basketball teams, coaches, and see the new nine-foot tall inflatable mascot’s unveiling and dance-off with Scorch.
Spectators will also be chosen at random to participate in games with the players for prizes including $100 from the Valley Imports Season of Cash. Activities also include a three-point contest and a dunk contest.
SAAC will also be taking free-will donations at the door for Special Olympics. All fans and supporters of Dragon Athletics are invited to attend.
The first 500 fans through the door will receive a Dragon Madness dunk contest sign to show their support of their favorite slam.
