Biosciences faculty accepted into yearlong functional genomics residency
Faculty from the Biosciences Department: Shireen Alemadi, Becky Andres, Sara Anderson, Tamara Mans and Alison Wallace were accepted into a yearlong functional genomics residency. The residency kicked off with participation in the 2012 ASM/JGI Functional Genomics Institute: Connecting Bioinformatics-Driven Hypotheses to Wet Lab Projects. The Institute was held June 24 – 28 at Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio.
Faculty participants will incorporate techniques and ideas presented at the Institute into current courses in the Department, providing students more wet-lab experiences.
