McGrath events include literature discussion, author reading
Elizabeth Searle is the author of the novel, Girl Held in Home, out this month from MSUM’s New Rivers Press. She is on campus this week to share excerpts from her book and to participate with MSUM professors Alan Davis and Kevin Carollo in a discussion about “Literature in the Age of Terror.” The discussion takes place Tuesday, October 11 at 7 p.m. at Zandbroz Variety, 420 Broadway, Fargo.
Searle will be the featured speaker in the McGrath Writers Series, Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. in the Glasrud Auditorium in Weld. (This location is changed from the previously announced Library Porch of the Livingston Library.)
Davis is the author of the recently released short story collection, So Bravely Vegetative—winner of the Prize Americana for Fiction. Carollo’s poem, “Collateral,” was a finalist for the Knightville Poetry Prize and a Pushcart nominee.
Both events are free and open to the public.
