Kenyon Williams presents faculty percussion recital with guest artist Henry Gwiazda

Kenyon Williams, Music, will present a faculty percussion recital Sunday, October 16 at 7:30 p.m. in MSUM’s Gaede Theatre. Entitled “The Music of Our Times,” the recital will include two world premier commissioned works written expressly for Dr. Williams by composers James Campbell and Cort Lippe. Williams will also be joined by fellow Music Department faculty member and professor of composition, Dr. Henry Gwiazda, as they perform his duet for electric guitarist and percussionist, “Homage to Jimi.”  Join us for a fascinating evening full of electronic soundscapes, virtuoso maraca playing, Jimi Hendrix guitar riffs, interactive computer music, and more! Admission is free.
