Braden Kuznia presented at international EMS conference
Braden Kuznia, Assistant Director for Event Services in the Comstock Memorial Union presented at the International EMS Users Conference in Beaver Creek, Colo., on September 21. The presentation focused on the use of Dean Evan and Associates’ software Event Management System (EMS) and Events2HVAC™ to conserve energy on campus.
Session Title: EMS Energy Integration
Description: Minnesota State University Moorhead has worked with Events2HVAC™ to integrate heating and cooling of rooms based on the reservations in EMS. Learn how this change has affected the work flow of schedulers, physical plant personnel and general maintenance workers. We’ll discuss how it is set up, the savings, positive changes and challenges.
Events2HVAC™ event automation software links Dean Evans EMS schedules to building automation systems, automatically controlling heating, cooling, lighting, and security based on room schedules. It reduces energy use and wear and tear on HVAC equipment by running equipment only when individual rooms are occupied. It also eliminates redundant data entry because facility managers no longer need to manually coordinate HVAC schedules with event schedules.
