MSUM will hold two upcoming Safe Zone trainings: Thursday, Feb. 10 1 to 4 p.m. in CMU Ballroom, and Thursday, March 10 1 to 4 p.m. in CMU 203.
“The Minnesota State University Moorhead Safe Zone training session will educate and inform individuals about lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and ally persons. Individuals who attend this session will be provided with the tools, resources and information required to establish a safe and welcoming atmosphere for LGBTQA persons. The training will provide information through group discussions, personal experiences, video clips and other related activities. Everyone attending will have the option of becoming a MSU Moorhead Safe Zone Ally. Those who wish to commit to becoming a Safe Zone Ally will indicate that bigotry and discrimination, specifically regarding LGBTQA persons, are not tolerated.”
Safe Zone training is open to MSUM faculty, staff and students at no cost.
