Galleria fire epilogue
A fire that destroyed a major apartment complex didn’t result in serious injury or death, but it displaced about 150 renters, including 15 MSUM students. The Galleria Apartments burned to the ground October 11th and almost immediately there were community efforts to find housing and financial assistance for the renters.
The credit union that serves our campus, Affinity Plus, started a donor fund for the students left homeless. More than $1,500 was raised and distributed, including $500 donated by Affinity Plus.
