Gov. Dayton appointed Sheila Wright — dean of Hamline University’s School of Education — the new director of the Minnesota Office of Higher Education. Wright joined Hamline in July 2009. She has also taught at Carleton College in Northfield and at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Sonia Rai, 24, was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML), which is a cancer of the blood. Her diagnosis caught her family and friends by surprise and there is an urgent need to act quickly and find a bone marrow match for her.
