Fourteen students inducted into Delta Mu Delta

Fourteen MSUM students earned membership to Delta Mu Delta for their academic excellence in preparation for careers in business.Jason Grunewald was awarded a $200 scholarship by the local Delta Mu Delta chapter. CSA spring social Friday

The Council on Staff Affairs Spring Social will be Friday, May 7 from 9-11 a.m. in CMU 101. We will raffle a Marlowe Kullish rocking horse and a 2010-2011 general parking permit. Dragons Name Finalists for Head Men’s Basketball Coach

MOORHEAD, Minn. – Minnesota State University Moorhead Athletics Director Doug Peters announced Tuesday the four finalists for the Head Men’s Basketball Coach, which includes Brian Dolan, Ty Orton, Jeff Kaminsky and Chad Walthall.

“We haven’t left any stone unturned in this search process and I am excited about the candidates that we have selected as finalists for our basketball coaching position,” Peters said.

Mass Comm students earn 10 awards from broadcast association

At the annual awards banquet of the Northwest Broadcast News Association, the organization presented a total of 248 awards to stations from all over the six state region (Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota & Wisconsin). SPJ announces 2009 Mark of Excellence national winners


The Society of Professional Journalists announced the national winners of the 2009 Mark of Excellence Awards, recognizing collegiate work published or broadcasted during 2009. This year, student journalists submitted more than 3,600 entries. MSUM students earned multiple awards, including Todd Kurtz, who was a NATIONAL WINNER in Television News Photography. Campus News was a national finalist in the SPJ awards, meaning MSUM was ranked as one of the top 3 college newscasts in the NATION. Click headline for full details.
