Affinity Plus Haiti relief effort

Affinity Plus is accepting donations to help with the relief of the Haiti earthquake disaster. The funds will go to the Red Cross, who will then send the funds to Haiti.

You can donate dollars, or members of Affinity Plus can donate their member participation points, which will be then matched by Affinity Plus and converted into dollars. Stop by the Moorhead Campus branch located in the union, or the branch located at 403 8th Street South.

From the Multicultural Affairs Office:

A MSUM Haitian student, member of Umoja Student Association, and student employee of  Multicultural Affairs, Gerard E. Beaubrun, has been instrumental in the process that is underway. He recently visited the MSUM Student Senate and received their assurance to fully support in the planning process that is currently happening. The Multicultural Office will also serve as hub for support and information that maybe requested. We have confirmed community support and look to implement a full plan of action. With the support of the International Office, Student Senate, MSUM Faculty, Students, and Organizations, the FM Community, and the Multicultural Affairs Office, we shall succeed. Once again, thank you for your time and willingness to help the Haitian people in their time of need. — Jered Pigeon, Program Coordinator, Multicultural Office, pigeonje@mnstate.edu
