Social media seminar series: Free event Friday, Oct. 30

Autism lecture Nov. 4

Dr. Travis Thompson will be presenting a lecture, “Autism: Early Intervention and Brain Development” Wednesday, Nov 4 at 7pm in the MSUM Science Lab 104. Thompson is a well-known autism clinician, researcher and author of several books including: Straight Talk About Autism (2008) and Freedom from Meltdowns: Solutions for Children with Autism (2008). Thompson also will be a guest in MSUM classes Wednesday afternoon and will be available for a question and answer time at 2:30 pm in Science Lab 102. This event is sponsored by the Solomon Comstock Fund.

MSUM faculty art on display through Nov. 11

An MSUM faculty art exhibit will be on display through Nov. 11 in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts gallery. An artists’ reception will be held Thursday, Oct. 29 from 4 to 6 p.m. It’s free and open to the public. Click the headline to see who’s showing and to see some of the artists’ work.

Visiting artist Jonathan Twingley presents “Words and Pictures” Oct. 28

New York artist and author of “The Badlands Saloon” Jonathan Twingley will be a visiting artist-in-residence at Minnesota State University Moorhead Oct. 28 and 29. As part of his campus visit, he will deliver a free public lecture on “Words and Pictures” at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28 in the Center for Business room 109.
