Sizer attends, presents at international conference

Walter Sizer, mathematics, attended the Progress on Difference Equations Conference in Honor of Prof. Jerry Ladas, held in Bedlewo, Poland, May 25-29. He presented the paper, “Further Instances of Periodicity in May’s Host Parasitoid Equation.” Also this summer his earlier paper, “Periodicity in May’s Host Parasitoid Equation”, was published in the book Advances in Discrete Dynamical Systems edited by S. Elaydi et al. and published by the Mathematical Society of Japan.

Manno presents recital on Sunday

Terrie Manno, professor of music/piano, will present a solo piano recital on Sunday, August 30, at 4 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Fox Recital Hall. The program features works by Bach, Mozart, Chopin, Debussy, Fine and Gershwin. This event is free and open to the public.

Brandau screens two films

Tom Brandau, Film Studies, had two films screened at festivals over the summer. His film “Mr. Brown” screened at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Film Festival in late May and another film, “Heavenly Sight” screened at the Delray Beach Film Festival (Florida) in May and the Shamrock Film Festival (Minneapolis) in July. “Heavenly Sight” was awarded Best Screenplay and Best Actor honors at the Shamrock Fest.
