Shelton A. Gunaratne, professor of mass communications emeritus, has an essay titled “Emerging global divides in media and communication theory: European universalism versus non-Western reactions” scheduled for publication in the next (special) issue (Vol. 19 No.  3) of the Asian Journal of Communication.

Another essay written by Gunaratne, “GLOBALIZATION, a non-Western perspective: The bias of social science/communication oligopoly,” appeared in the March 2009 issue (Vol. 2 No. 1) of Communicaion, Culture & Critique, an ICA journal.
